The BC Jindal Group announced on Wednesday that the Solar Energy Corporation (SECI) has won the 150 MW round-the-the-cllock (RTC) project at a reverse auction at 5.07/kWh.

The auction was part of the SECI’s 1200 MW RTC project.

Under the conditions of the agreement, the company will install the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) -Connect renewable energy energy project. In addition, the firm will be responsible for land recognition and ownership of the project, obtaining approval and connecting to the ISTS network. The generated electricity will be supplied to the discOMs under the SECI under the Electricity Power Agreement (PPA).

“The victory in this project has been a major shock to support India’s clean energy transition and help the country to achieve renewable energy targets by 100,” a company spokesman said.

Earlier, Jindal India’s renovation energy (JIR) won two major 300 MW solar and storage projects from the state-owned SGV and the second by NHPC.

To meet the ambitious target of achieving 500 GW by 2030, this center is adding 50 GW to renewable energy capacity every year. Over the past decade, India has raised three times the increase in its renewable energy capacity, which has reached 232 GW, which has currently been included in the capacity of 75.52 GW in March 1, official sources said. India has emerged as a global leading runner in renewable energy space as the rate of grid-connect solar power projects has dropped by 80 per cent and Rs 10.95 per unit (170 MW at Nimuch). In March 1, India’s installed solar power capacity was 5.82 GW, which has now exceeded 4GW, recording the multi -fold growth. Wind energy capacity 1, 2014, is currently doubled from 4 GW to GDW.
